During the first Module, you’ll get to know me a little better before we dive deep into the science of How The Voice Works! We’ll do a quick overview of the entire course, how to use the course material as well as give you the entire workbook that you can use throughout the course.
The lessons in this module will cover the basic vocabulary we use to describe the parts of every instrument and how each of these components impacts the quality of an instrument - including your voice. You’ll also get access to our Zygote Body, a rotatable 3D model of the human body for enhancing your body map as you work through this course.
In module 3 you will learn about posture, different approaches to improving alignment, and how changes to your posture affect your vocal quality.
Through a combination of lessons and exercises, we teach you how to breathe correctly for your body type and how to improve your vocal ability through the correct approach to respiratory management.
In module 5, we dive into the action of the vocal folds. We examine the muscles that enable you to change pitch and regulate breath flow, as well as what the vocal folds are doing to produce each quality.
In the lessons in this module, we’ll dive deep into each part of the vocal tract and how it alters vocal quality. After vibrations leave the vocal folds, they travel through the vocal tract where the sound is transformed into vowels and consonants. This module is also packed with crucial exercises to engage your Soft Palate, Tongue, Jaw, Lips, Nasality, and more.
In module 7 we discuss microphones and other sound enhancement techniques that alter our perception of the voice.

In module 9, you will learn about the process of acquiring a new skill and using concepts from exercise physiology and motor learning research to vocal training.
